The App collects location information from your device (GPS coordinates, route/timestamps, speed, direction). Location data is essential for delivery tracking and route management.
Pacific Driver requires access to your location even when the App is not in the foreground (“background location”) to ensure accurate delivery tracking. Many deliveries take place while the driver’s screen is off or the device is running multiple apps. To maintain reliable delivery status and real-time updates for dispatch, the App may continue gathering location data when:
Background location data is used strictly for operational delivery purposes and is not shared with third parties.
We do not sell, rent, lease, or share personal or location data with third-party advertisers or external businesses.
Information is used solely for internal delivery and operational purposes. We may disclose data only if required by law or to protect safety or system integrity.
Location and usage data are retained only as long as needed for delivery operations or as required by law. When no longer needed, data is deleted or anonymized.
We implement reasonable security measures to protect data, but no method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
The App requires foreground and background location permissions to function properly. If you disable these permissions, delivery tracking may stop working.
The App is intended for adult drivers and authorized personnel only. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
